Baseball: Tim O'Connor Named All-GNAC

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University baseball player Tim O'Connor was honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference last weekend as the sophomore infielder was selected as a second team all-conference performer.

O'Connor, who hails from Worcester, Mass., ranks second on the team in batting with a .338 average. He also lists among the team leaders in doubles (seven), runs scored (11), runs batted in (10) and total bases (28).

The Norwich baseball team has two home doubleheaders remaining on its 2008 spring schedule. The Cadets (4-22) are slated to host Lyndon State on Thursday, May 1, at 2 p.m., before taking on Vermont Tech on Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m.
