Baseball: Emerson Sweeps Doubleheader From Norwich

BOSTON - The Norwich University baseball team dropped both ends of its GNAC doubleheader versus Emerson on Sunday, losing 7-6 in the opening game and 7-2 in the nightcap.
The Cadets fall to 1-15 (0-8 GNAC), while the Lions improve to 8-15 (3-9 GNAC).
Ryan Kelly kept Norwich in game one, allowing five earned runs over five innings, before giving way to Kyle Kenia. Kenia allowed two runs in the seventh inning, though, as Emerson came from behind to win 7-6.
James Ramsay led the Cadets offense in the opener, going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in. Tim O'Connor went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, while Kory Delehanty went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Bret Manning chipped in offensively, going 2-for-2 at the plate.
Kyle Przekaza started game two, and gave up five earned runs over five innings. Delehanty came on in relief and yielded two earned runs in two innings. Manning paced the NU offense in the second game, going 2-for-3 at the dish.
Norwich returns to action on Tuesday, April 15, when the Cadets are scheduled to play a nonleague doubleheader at Castleton State.
