Most of the scoring in the opener was done in the first three innings, as the game was tied 5-5 after three. PSU (12-22) pulled ahead 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Brandon Hodge, which ended up being the game-winning run.
Levandowski went 4-for-4 in the opener with four singles, three stolen bases and two runs scored. Hodge finished with two hits and three RBI, contributing run-scoring singles in the first and third innings.
Norwich (4-22) was led by Bret Manning and Dominic Sorrentino, who each contributed two hits and two runs scored. Emilio Martinez chipped in a two-run single during the Cadets' second inning rally.
Norwich took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap. After loading the bases with no outs, David Wygonski delivered an RBI single and another run came home on a PSU infield error. Plymouth State got two runs back in the third inning on Hodge's seventh home run of the season, a line drive over the right-field fence.
The game remained tied at 2-2 until the bottom of the seventh inning, when Josh Roberti blooped a double to right, Marc McGinnis walked and Levandowski ended it with his fourth home run of the season.
Ryan Lavelle picked up the win in relief for PSU, improving his record to 3-2. He came on in the seventh inning in relief of freshman Mike Moody, who allowed just two runs in 6.2 innings.
Wygonski had two hits in the nightcap to lead the Cadets. Jason Nickerson pitched well but suffered the loss with a complete-game effort.
