Husson Shuts Out Norwich, 44-0

BANGOR, Maine - Julius Williams rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and Jonah Chappell threw for 195 yards and two more scores to lead Husson past Norwich, 44-0, in a non-league football game Saturday afternoon. NU falls to 1-2 on the season, while Husson improves to 3-0 for the first time in school history.

Husson led 17-0 at halftime, before adding four more touchdowns in the second half en route to the lopsided victory.

Darnell Jackson led Norwich offensively, rushing for 86 yards on 17 carries.

Husson gained 491 yards of total offense, compared to just 117 for Norwich. The Cadets also turned the ball over four times. Husson dominated the time of possession statistic, holding the ball more than 40 minutes.

Defensively, NU was led by Clay Campbell, who recorded 11 tackles. Reza Afsarmanesh and Donovan Brown each chipped in nine stops apiece.

Norwich returns to the friendly confines of Sabine Field for its fourth and final non-league contest of the 2007 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 22, when the Cadets host N.Y. Maritime. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
