No. 8 St. John Fisher Defeats Norwich, 48-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Rob Kramer completed 18 of 23 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns, and James Reile rushed 16 times for 98 yards and a score as No. 8 St. John Fisher defeated Norwich, 48-2, in an Empire 8 football game played Saturday at Growney Stadium.
The Cadets (2-5, 0-3 Empire 8) fell behind 17-0 after the first quarter, and trailed 27-0 at halftime. St. John Fisher (6-1, 2-1 Empire 8) added three more touchdowns in the third quarter to assume a comfortable 48-0 cushion heading into the final 15 minutes.
Norwich got on the scoreboard early in the fourth when St. John Fisher snapped the football out of the end zone as the Cardinals attempted to punt.
NU was unable to get anything going as the Cadets amassed just 77 yards of total offense. St. John Fisher, conversely, racked up 479 yards of total offense.
Brendan Recchia led the Norwich defense with a game-high 13 tackles, while Dan Wilde and Dan Reale made seven stops apiece.
Norwich will be idle next weekend. The Cadets return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, when they host Hartwick at Sabine Field. Kickoff for the Empire 8 matchup is slated for 1 p.m.
