Norwich Football Games To Be Broadcast On The Internet And Radio

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University has reached a collaborative agreement with Stretch Internet and WDEV to have all 10 of its football games broadcast either on the radio or online this season. The package will kick off with this Saturday's contest at Mt. Ida.
The online package will be run by Stretch Internet, a California-based company that served as the broadcast host for Norwich's five home football games last season. This year, Stretch Internet will stream the radio broadcast of all 10 of the Cadets' contests. Norwich fans can access the radio feed by logging on to CadetsRadio.com.
In addition to the all-inclusive internet broadcast package, a select number of games will be available locally on WDEV (96.1-FM, 550-AM). Unfortunately, those games have not been determined at this time.
Vermont broadcasting veteran George Commo will handle play-by-play duties for each of the 10 broadcasts. Commo is no stranger to the Norwich sports scene, having served as the radio "voice" of the Cadets hockey team for several years.
Norwich opens its 2007 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1, when the Cadets travel to Newton, Mass., to take on Mt. Ida. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
