NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Cadets closed the game on an 11-2 run over the final 2:41 to hold off the Rams, 87-79, at Andrews Hall. Norwich (13-11, 9-7 GNAC) came back from a 12-point deficit. Suffolk (8-17-7-9 GNAC) led 43-33 at halftime and held the advantage until midway through the second half.

The first half was close as the biggest lead by either team was no more than six points. With just over seven minutes to play, Suffolk took off on a 20-11 run to take a 43-32 lead en route to the 10-point halftime lead.

After falling behind by a dozen to open the second half, the Cadets reeled off a 14-2 run to tie the game at 47 apiece. Norwich would later stretch the lead to eight points at 74-66 with just under six minutes to play. The Rams responded with an 11-2 run to take a one point lead at 77-66 with 2:41 to play, but they could only manage one layup from that point on.

Suffolk had five players post double figure scoring, led by John Murphy with 21 points. Brian Small scored 17 points, Chris MacDonald logged 15 points and Alan Jaziri and Brad Schoonmaker chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.
