Men's Ice Hockey: ECAC East Tournament Tickets Go On Sale Feb. 25

Feb 20, 2008

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University men's ice hockey team has clinched its 10th straight ECAC East regular season title, and the Cadets will be the No. 1 seed in the league's upcoming tournament.

As the No. 1 seed, Norwich will host a quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m. If the Cadets win that contest, they would host the conference semifinals and championship on March 8 and 9. Norwich would play the 3 p.m. semifinal on March 8, with the second semifinal scheduled to be played at 6 p.m. The ECAC East Tournament Championship is slated to be played at 3 p.m. on March 9.

All adult tickets, both reserved seats and standing room, are $8, with youth standing room tickets $5. Tickets for NU's March 1 quarterfinal game will go on sale on Feb. 25, while tickets for the ECAC East semifinals and championship will go on sale March 3.

Due to ECAC and NCAA regulations that require reserved tickets be set aside for visiting teams, there will be a limited number of reserved seated tickets for sale to the general public on a ‘per game' and ‘per playoff round' basis.

Visiting teams are required to inform Norwich by noon the day before each game whether or not they will be using all of the seats that have been set aside for them. In the event that there are unused tickets, a number of reserved seats may become available for sale.

Tickets may be purchased at the following ticket outlets: The Capital Plaza in Montpelier, Chittenden Bank in Barre, Trans-Video Cable in Northfield, Video Vault in Randolph. Tickets can also be pre-purchased by logging on to http://www.cadetstickets.com/. Tickets will also be available at the Kreitzberg Arena ticket booth one hour before the game.

Norwich (18-5-0, 14-3-0 ECAC East) closes out its regular season this weekend when the sixth-ranked Cadets travel to Maine to battle Colby (Friday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m.) and No. 11 Bowdoin (Saturday, Feb. 23, 4 p.m.).
