Men's Ice Hockey: NEWHA Announces ECAC East/NESCAC All-Star Team

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The New England hockey writers association (NEHWA) announced its ECAC East/NESCAC All-Star team on Tuesday, April 1, and two Norwich players are among those being honored.
Senior forward Rick Cleaver and junior forward Nikita Kashirsky were named the squad, while Cleaver also earned "Player of the Year" accolades.
Colby College, who won the NESCAC regular season title, led the way with four players on the squad. The Mules' head coach Jim Torterella was named ECAC East/NESCAC "Coach of the Year."
New England College placed three players on the All-Star team, while Middlebury, Bowdoin and UMass-Boston were also represented.
The members of this year's team will be honored at the annual NEHWA Banquet on Wednesday, April 16, at the Prince Restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus, Mass. For additional information, contact John Gruppo at 617-373-7409.
