LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Following a terrific senior season, Norwich University men's ice hockey standout Nikita Kashirsky was honored by the American Hockey Coaches Association, as the senior was named an RBK first-team All-American.

Kashirsky, who earned second-team honors last season as a junior, earned first-team laurels this year after leading the Cadets in goals (17), assists (17) and points (34). The Moscow, Russia, native was named ECAC East "Player of the Year" this season. He was also named to the league's all-conference first team.

Kashirsky, who was known for his nifty stick-handling and ability to score "big" goals throughout his four years at Norwich, finished his Norwich career with 144 points (73 goals, 71 assists)

It marks the 11th straight year that a Norwich player has earned All-America honors. Kashirsky is the ninth Cadet to earn All-America honors in two different seasons.
