NORTHFIELD, Vt. - After helping the Norwich University men's ice hockey team to a runner-up showing at last weekend's Times Argus Invitational, three Cadets received ECAC East weekly honors, it was announced by the conference office on Monday evening.

Junior F Chad Anderson, who scored two goals and added an assist in NU's 4-0 victory over No. 9-ranked Curry College on Friday night, was named the league's "Player of the Week" for the first time this season. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native, added another assist in the Cadets' 4-4 tie versus Potsdam on Saturday night.

Freshman F Blake Forkey, who scored a goal and dished out an assist against Curry, picked up the league's "Rookie of the Week" award for the second time this year. The Boca Raton, Fla., product also added another goal opposite Potsdam.

For the season, Forkey leads the Cadets in goals (eight). He and Anderson are tied for the team lead in points with 17 apiece. Both Forkey and Anderson earned all-tournament team honors at the Times Argus Invitational.

Senior G Ryan Klingensmith, who backstopped Norwich's shutout of Curry on Friday, earned a spot on the weekly Honor Roll. The Morton, Pa., native turned aside all 12 shots that he faced to pick up his third shutout of the season.
