Men's Lacrosse: Paradiso Named GNAC Goaltender of the Week

BOSTON—Junior goaltender Mark Paradiso (Westford, Mass.) of the Norwich University men's lacrosse team has been named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goaltender of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

In a 2-0 week in net for the Cadets, Paradiso stopped 17 of the 25 shots he faced to post a .680 save percentage. He allowed eight goals on the week in 105 minutes of action to record a 4.57 goals-against average. Paradiso allowed just two goals against Anna Maria, stopping 77.8 percent of the nine shots on goal in the first three quarters of action.

Paradiso has been a mainstay in net for the Cadets this season. Through five games he carries a .640 save percentage and a 7.29 goals-against average.  He has totaled 55 saves in 86 shots faced in 255 minutes of action in the 2013 campaign.

The Cadets (2-3, 2-0 GNAC) are back in action on Tuesday, March 26 when they travel to Becker College for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference meeting. The Cadets posted a 20-7 win against Becker last season at home.
