Men's Rugby: Matt Burke Selected For 2008 Northeast Collegiate All-Stars

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University senior Matt Burke has been named for the 2008 Northeast Collegiate All-Star team. He was selected to start on the "First XV" at wing, after putting forth a fine effort in an exhibition match at Columbia University.

In that recent match against an Old Blue RFC mixed side, Burke, at scrum half, scored a 35-meter try. He will also be penciled in as the team's second scrumhalf according to NRU Collegiate Head Coach Mike Hodgins.

On June 13, Burke will accompany the Northeast Collegiate side to Glendale, Colo., to participate in the National Guard College Men's Club All Star 15's Championships, hosted by the City of Glendale at Infinity Park.

Tickets are $10/ Day or $18/Weekend for Adults, $5/Day or $8/Weekend for Youth & Military and are available online at www.infinityparkatglendale.com, or in person at Glendale City Hall, 950 S. Birch, Glendale, Colo., before the event and at the gate.
