Men's Rugby: NU goes 2-1 on Day 2 of Bermuda 7s Tournament, places 10th

BERMUDA - The Norwich University men's rugby team finished strong at the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s Tournament on Saturday. The Cadets went 2-1 on the second place to place 10th overall in the tournament.

Norwich downed St. Joseph's University B team 14-10 in the first game of the day. Josh Johnson and Mark Hill recorded tries with two successful conversions from Keegan Frick. The Cadets led 7-5 at halftime. 

The Cadets won their second game in a row with a 26-12 victory over the University at Albany. Norwich led 18-7 at halftime behind two tries from Eli Henderson and one from Austin Manhey with conversions by Frick. Henderson added a second half try with a successful conversion from Frick. 

Norwich dropped a tough 24-21 match to the University of Pennsylvania in the Shield Final. UPenn led 17-7 at halftime, but NU came storming back in the second half to make it close. Henderson scored a first half try with Anthony Candrilli and Eric Pierone adding second half scores. Frick was successful on all three conversions. 

Norwich places 10th out of the 12 teams in the tournament.
