Norwich Tramples Daniel Webster, 5-0

Ryan Boyton and Jake Yaris each scored two goals, and Rob Harlow added a goal and two assists to lead the Norwich men's soccer team past Daniel Webster, 5-0, in a GNAC match Saturday afternoon.

The Cadets, who remain in sole possession of first-place in the GNAC standings, improve to 11-2-1 (6-0-1 GNAC).

Boyton opened the scoring for NU, tallying his first goal of the contest in the third minute off an assist from Bobby Begin. Boyton made it 2-0 in the 21st minute when he converted off a feed from Harlow.

In the 28th minute, Harlow set up Yaris' first goal that gave the Cadets a 3-0 advantage. Harlow extended the Cadets' lead to 4-0 in the 41st minute when he tallied an unassisted goal.

Yaris closed out the scoring in the 85th minute, scoring his second goal of the match off an assist from Drew Dilley.

Brian Riopelle got the start for NU in goal, and he got the win after making just one save.

Norwich outshot Daniel Webster, 9-2, and the Cadets held a 6-0 edge in corner kicks. 

The Norwich men's soccer team will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 17, when the Cadets take on Lasell at Howard Field. The GNAC match is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
