Norwich Blanks Johnson State, 3-0

JOHNSON, Vt. - Drew Dilley continued his hot play, scoring two goals to lead the Norwich men's soccer team past Johnson State Wednesday afternoon. The Cadets increased their winning streak to five straight games as they improve to 6-1-0 on the season.
Dilley tallied his first goal of the game - an unassisted marker - at the 3:42 mark to stake NU to an early 1-0 advantage. Norwich freshman Emmanuel Motaze took a feed from Jake Yaris and quickly made it 2-0 as the Cameroon native scored less than one minute later at the 4:33 mark.
Dilley added his second marker of the day in the 34th minute off an assist from Jason Bliss, giving Norwich all of the offense it needed. Senior goalkeeper Jake Pagragan made four saves in the Cadets' net to make it stand up.
Norwich outshot Johnson State, 21-5, and held an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Norwich will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22, when the Cadets host Albertus Magnus in a GNAC match at Howard Field. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
