MEN'S SOCCER
Norwich Falls At Plattsburgh State, 2-0

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Chris Taylor scored in the 12th minute and Ryan Ormsby added an insurance marker in the 87th minute as Plattsburgh State defeated Norwich, 2-0, in a men's soccer match Tuesday evening.
Norwich (1-1-0) was led by junior forward Rob Harlow, who fired three shots, including one on goal. The Cadets offense, which erupted for four goals in the team's season opener last Sunday, was stymied for much of the night and only produced three shots on goal.
Drew Dilley and Ryan Boyton each produced a shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Jake Pagragan was credited with five saves, but suffered the loss in the Cadets' net.
John San Filippo made three saves to earn his second consecutive shutout victory for Plattsburgh State (2-0-0).
The Norwich men's soccer team returns to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 8, when the Cadets open up GNAC competition with a 1 p.m. match versus Rivier College. Kick off from Howard Field is slated for 1 p.m.
