Men’s Soccer: Skoff named GNAC Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. – Freshman goalkeeper Stefan Skoff (San Jose, Calif.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week on Monday afternoon.

Skoff continued the sensational start to his NU career, posting two shutouts in three games on the week to raise his season total to five. Skoff made seven saves in a 1-0 win over Albertus Magnus and two saves in a 3-0 win over Rivier.

This marks the fourth GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week award Skoff has received and his fifth overall award from the league after he was named the Rookie of the Week as well in Week 1.

Skoff ranks second in the GNAC in goals against average (0.75) and save percentage (.845) so far this season.

Norwich (10-4-1, 6-1-0 GNAC) travels to Mount Ida for a crucial conference matchup on Wednesday against the third-place Mustangs. The Cadets then close the GNAC regular season with a road matchup at Saint Joseph's (Maine) on Saturday.
