Men’s Soccer: Cardinals blank Norwich 4-0

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Norwich University men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to Plattsburgh State on Wednesday afternoon. 

Junior goalkeeper Brendan Germano (Monroe Township, N.J.) made a career-eight saves in the loss as Plattsburgh continued its dominance of the all-time series with the Cadets. The Cardinals hold a 21-4-4 lead in the all-time series. 

Junior Chris Clain (Proctor, Vt.) led the Cadets with two shots on goal. 

Plattsburgh outshot Norwich 21-13 and each team earned five corner kicks. The Cardinals improved to 4-2-0 on the year.   

Norwich dropped to 2-3-0 on the season. The Cadets face a stern test on Saturday when they travel to Standish, Maine for a rematch of the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship vs. Saint Joseph's (Maine).
