Men's Swimming & Diving: Norwich Sinks St. Michael's, 148-73

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Chris Prybella, Joe Moeller and Peter Bue each won a pair of individual events in the pool to lead the Norwich men's swimming and diving team past St. Michael's, 148-73, in the team's dual meet season finale on Tuesday evening. NU wraps up its 2007-08 dual meet slate with an impressive 9-3 overall record.
The Cadets, who defeated the Purple Knights earlier this season in Northfield, complete the season sweep of their in-state rivals.
Prybella, who has emerged as one of NU's top freestylers this season, won the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.34) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.72) versus St. Michael's.
Moeller took gold in both the 200-yard butterfly (2:04.11) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.38).
Bue, meanwhile, won first-place ribbons in the 50-yard freestyle (23.17) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.58).
Kyle Kenia, Brian Kamp and Ben Courtney all won individual events in the pool as well. Kenia took gold in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:43.68), Kamp finished first in the 100-yard individual medley (1:04.11) and Courtney won the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.78).
NU also swept both relay events, with the Cadets taking first place in the 200-yard medley event and the 200-yard freestyle discipline.
Norwich will break from competition now until Feb. 22-24, when the Cadets travel to Bristol, R.I., to compete at the New England Championships.
