Men's Swimming & Diving: Norwich In Fourth Place At New England Championships

BRISTOL, R.I. - Chris Prybella had a hand in three Top 3 finishes in the pool to help lead the Norwich University men's swimming and diving team into fourth place after the second day of competition at the New England Championships Saturday.

The Cadets have accrued 213 points so far to place in the upper third of the 13-team field. Keene State continues to lead the way with 443 points. Bentley (352 points) and Roger Williams (233) round out the Top 3.

Prybella placed runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle with a clocking of 1 minute, 43.65 seconds. He then teamed with Pete Bue, Zach Mahoney and Zander Fields to place third in the 200-yard medley relay (1:38.97). Prybella, Joe Moeller, Kyle Kenia and Fields teamed up to help the Cadets take third in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:22.75.

Elsewhere, Moeller placed runner-up in the 400 IM (4:20.69) and Bue finished fourth in the 100 back (54.52). In the 100 breaststroke, Simon Hugh took seventh (1:03.34) and Mahoney finished 10th (1:04.26).

Norwich will conclude competition at the New England Swimming & Diving Championships on Sunday, March 1, with competition lasting all day.
