Tennis: Peter Hooper Tabbed GNAC "Player Of The Week"

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University sophomore men's tennis standout Peter Hooper was selected as the initial GNAC "Player of the Week" following his outstanding performance in NU's 5-4 win over Castleton State last Wednesday.

Hooper, who has stepped right in as the Cadets No. 1 singles player this season, posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory in his singles match, before teaming up with Matt Sanford to win at No. 1 doubles.

The Spartansburg, S.C., native continued his hot play in Monday's 5-4 victory over Johnson State as he secured a 6-0, 6-0 win in singles, and an 8-0 victory in doubles action.

The Cadets (2-0) will begin GNAC competition on Saturday, March 29, when they travel to Providence, R.I., to take on Johnson & Wales.
