MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Cadets Place Third At Panther Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - John Pomeroy placed 12th, and two other Cadet runners placed within the Top 20 as the Norwich men's cross country team placed third out of 11 teams at the Panther Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Pomeroy led NU to the finish line, clocking a time of 29 minutes, 23.50 seconds. Joining Pomeroy in the Top 20 were Zach Charney (29:54.90) and John Guarnieri (30:12.20), who placed 15th and 19th, respectively.
Matthew Wagner (31:23.70) and Sean O'Hara (31:57.10) rounded out Norwich's Top 5, placing 23rd and 25th, respectively.
Gregory Matthews also finished in the Top 30 for the Cadets, taking 26th place with a time of 32:13.40.
Middlebury won the race, while Paul Smith's College placed runner-up.
The Norwich men's cross country team returns to action on Friday, Sept. 21, when the Cadets travel to Nashua, N.H., to take on Rivier.
