Men's Cross Country: John Pomeroy Named GNAC "Runner Of The Week"

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University junior cross country runner John Pomeroy was selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) "Runner of the Week" on Tuesday after placing third at the WNEC Invitational last weekend.

Pomeroy toured the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26 minutes, 44 seconds to place third out of 129 runners. The Stafford, Va., native helped the Cadets to a fifth-place finish at the event, which included 16 schools.

The Norwich men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, when the Cadets travel to Standish, Maine, to compete for their fourth straight GNAC Championship.
