Women’s Basketball: Curry earns GNAC weekly recognition

NORTHFIELD, VT. – Norwich University freshman women’s basketball player Aliah Curry (Windsor, Mass.) was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s weekly honor roll Feb. 6 for her play over the period of Jan. 30 – Feb. 5. The honor recognition is added to three previous Rookie of the Week awards for Curry.

She helped lead Norwich to a 1-1 record during the stretch by recording her 16th and 17th straight double-figure scoring games which included a 27-point effort at Johnson and Wales that marked the 12th time in the last 13 games she's topped the Cadets in scoring. During the span, Curry was first for NU in scoring, free throw accuracy, and three-point and overall field goals made and attempted. She also saw her points per game average rise two-tenths (18.8-19 ppg) and continued an impressive run of hitting at least one three-pointer in every game this season.
