NORTHFIELD, Vt. - For the second time this spring, Norwich University freshman women's lacrosse goalie Kellie Pickel was recognized as the GNAC "Goalkeeper of the Week."

Pickel stopped 15 shots in NU's 13-12 loss to Emerson last Sunday. The first-year keeper kept the Cadets in the game throughout, making a number of spectacular saves.

For the season, Pickel leads the Cadets with 60 saves, a .545 save percentage and a 12.20 goals-against average.

The Cadets (6-4, 2-1 GNAC) return to action on Wednesday, April 16, when they travel to Castleton, Vt., to battle in-state rival Castleton State at 4 p.m.
