Apr 29, 2008

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - After leading the Norwich University women's lacrosse team to the GNAC Tournament championship last weekend, Ally Daniels was honored by WomensLacrosse.com this week as the sophomore midfielder was named to the web site's national honor roll.

The Concord, N.H., native was one of just 11 Division III women's lacrosse players to be honored by the web site this week.

Daniels, who scored four goals and added one assist in Norwich's come-from-behind 10-8 victory over Emerson in the conference title game on Saturday, was named GNAC Tournament "Most Valuable Player."

Daniels, who was also selected as the league's co-"Player of the Year" after posting some tremendous offensive numbers throughout the season, leads the Cadets in goals (60), assists (29) and points (89).

Norwich (11-4) has concluded its regular season and now the Cadets must wait to see if they receive an invitation to either the NCAA or ECAC Tournament.
