Women's Lacrosse: Mount Holyoke Defeats Norwich, 23-11

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - After winning six of its first seven games to start the season, the Norwich University women's lacrosse team dropped its second straight game on Saturday, falling to Mount Holyoke, 23-11.
With the defeat, the Cadets fall to 6-3. Chelsea Martin led the Cadets offense with four goals and one assist. Kathleen Hennessy chipped in three goals and one assist, while Ashley Haviland contributed two goals.
Jessica Allmer (one goal and one assist), Ally Daniels (two assists) and Maura Kee (one assist) rounded out the scoring for NU.
Erin McGaffigan went the distance in goal for the Cadets, and she made 11 saves on the day.
Norwich returns to action on Sunday, April 13, when the Cadets travel to Boston for a crucial GNAC match versus Emerson College. Gametime is slated for 12:30 p.m.
