Women's Rugby: Cadets Featured In March Edition Of Rugby Magazine

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University women's rugby team has received national press in the March edition of Rugby Magazine, the most widely distributed publication of its kind in North America.
Two articles on the women's team are featured within the magazine and Norwich is mentioned on the front cover alongside Army and Navy as a school with "Military Might."
The first article, written by Times Argus reporter Anna Grearson is titled "Coral and the Cadets." Coral Lore, a senior at Norwich and veteran of the Iraq War, is highlighted as a leader of the team who draws upon her experience in Iraq to lay the foundation for her rugby success.
"Being in Iraq made me realize that you can always do more than you think you can," says Lore, a native of Orlando, Fla.
A second article, also written by Grearson, is titled "Dominant Norwich Women." It gives a broader picture of the team as a whole and points out their superb fitness levels as members of an athletic Norwich campus. This fitness is attributed to participation in the combination of Corps training and rugby practice for many members of the team.
"Opening my mailbox a lot of fun last night," said NU coach Austin Hall. "Between seeing my alma mater, University of California-Berkeley, pictured on the cover and our very own Norwich University pictured within, it was an exciting discovery. This team has worked hard to earn this national recognition, but we must stay true to our quest. Publicity is one thing, but playing to our potential is what counts."
