Rising senior Clarissa Wynn has been named to serve as the captain of the 2009 Norwich University women’s rugby team, it was announced by NU head coach Austin Hall this week.

After nearly two months of deliberation by the U.S. National Rugby Team coaches, Norwich freshman Katie Hathaway has been selected to the 25-player roster. This selection was based on her performance during the National All-Star Championships held in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., last November and an elite level try-out in Clermont, Fla. in February.

Women’s Rugby: Cadets End Season With 32-0 Loss At Dartmouth
The spring women’s rugby season came to an end for Norwich University this weekend with the Cadets suffering a 32-0 loss to Dartmouth. The Big Green put 17 points on the board in the first half and added 15 in the second en route to the shutout victory.
