Nikki Szczepanski Named GNAC "Player Of The Week"

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Freshman women's soccer player Nikki Szczepanski was named the GNAC "Player of the Week" following a pair of impressive performances last week. Fellow freshman Karissa Doyon also received an award, as she was named to the GNAC honor roll.

Szczepanski began her productive week by netting the Cadets' first two goals in Norwich's 9-0 win over Pine Manor on Saturday. Then on Sunday, she added two assists in Norwich's 5-1 victory over Lyndon State.

Doyon, meanwhile, came up big in NU's 5-1 victory over Lyndon State, scoring a pair of goals.

The Norwich women's soccer team returns to action later today (Sept. 19), when the Cadets travel to Newton, Mass., for a 4 p.m. match versus Lasell.
