NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Natalie Hamblin won a pair of individual events in the pool, and Victoria Amador captured gold in the one-meter diving event, but it was not enough as the Norwich women's swimming and diving team was swept by Gordon and Elms on Saturday afternoon at Goodyear Pool.
Hamblin, the team's senior team captain, won the 50-yard backstroke (34.30) and 100-yard backstroke (1:11.45) to lead the Cadets' effort in the pool.
Amador won the first-place ribbon in the one-meter diving event with a score of 161.60 points.
Molly Patterson, meanwhile, won the 100-yard breaststroke with a clocking of 1:24.12.
The Cadets fall to 0-10 with the two losses.
Norwich closes out the dual meet portion of its 2007-08 slate this Tuesday, Jan. 29, when the Cadets travel to Colchester, Vt., to take on St. Michael's at 4 p.m.
