Spearheaded by the women’s lacrosse team’s conference championship, and the women’s cross country team’s runner-up showing at the league meet last fall, Norwich University won the 2007-08 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Commissioner’s Cup.

Volleyball: Chamness And Rice Pick Up GNAC Accolades
Freshman outside hitter Alicia Chamness, who was a force for the Norwich women’s volleyball team throughout its 2007 season, was recognized by the GNAC as the Eugene, Ore., native was selected as the conference’s “Rookie of the Year” on Friday.
