The Norwich University volleyball team opened its 2010 campaign with a 3-0 victory over Castleton State College Wednesday evening at Glenbrook Gymnasium. The Cadets took the match in straight sets, winning by game scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-19.

Norwich senior volleyball player Lisset Magdaleno made history last month as the standout middle-hitter from Whittier, Calif., became the first Cadet in the brief four-year history of the program to earn New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Senior Classic Honorable Mention honors.
