NU Takes Second At Lyndon State Meet

LYNDON, Vt. - Three Cadets harriers placed within the Top 10 to lead the Norwich women's cross country team to a second-place finish at the Lyndon State Meet Saturday morning.

Maura Kee led the way, placing third overall with a time of 19 minutes, 7.50 seconds. Jackie McElligott took fourth place with a clocking of 20:23.30.

Heather Flavell (22:37.40) and Scarlette Grassetti (22:45.60) placed eighth and ninth, respectively, to round out Norwich's list of Top 10 finishers.

Also placing for NU were Savannah Tandski (23:08.90) and Desislava Slovakova (31:03.10), who took 11th and 15th, respectively.

The Norwich women's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 15, when the Cadets travel to Middlebury, Vt., to battle arch-rival Middlebury College.
