Cadets Finish 14th At James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Maura Kee placed 18th overall to lead the Norwich women's cross country team to a 14th-place showing at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday at Stanley Park.

Kee, was the first NU runner to cross the finish line, completing the 5,000-meter layout in a clocking of 20:20. Jaclyn McElligott was the second Norwich harrier to finish, placing 57th overall with a time of 21:28.

Anne Vada took 99th with a time of 22:35, while Scarlette Grassetti (23:47) and Heather Flavell (24:07) placed 144th and 151st, respectively.

Trinity College won the team title, placing five runners in the Top 20.

Norwich returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 13, when the Cadets make the trek to Springfield, Mass., to face WNEC.
