Women's Cross Country: NU Finishes Third At Panther Invitational
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Maura Kee finished 10th overall, and four other NU runners placed within the Top 20 to lead the Norwich University women's cross country team to a third-place showing at the Panther Invitational on Saturday. The Cadets racked up 74 points to finish in the top half of the six-team field.
Kee led all Cadets to the finish line, clocking a time of 21 minutes, 32 seconds. Jackie McElligott was the next NU runner to cross the finish line, completing the course in 22:19 to place 13tth overall.
Heather Flavell finished 14th overall with a time of 23:23. Alisha Nowicki (26:00) and Joy Palmer (27:50) rounded out the Norwich Top 5, finishing 18th and 19th, respectively.
Middlebury placed five runners in the Top 6 overall to win the team event with 19 points. St. Michael's placed second with 49 points, followed by Norwich (74 points).
Norwich returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 27, when the Cadets compete at the Wesleyan Invitational.
