Michael A. Nason starred in baseball and basketball at Norwich, earning four varsity letters in each and serving as assistant baseball coach as a senior. Mike captained the basketball squad and was team MVP in 1959. Mike's 1,320 career points place him among NU's top all-time scorers. He was all-state from 1957 to 1959 and was named New England College All Star in 1959. He was active in the Outing Club and on the Winter Carnival Committee. After graduation Mike began a teaching/coaching career. He won a basketball State Championship (24-0) at North Troy, Vt. and was an administrator and coach in Milton, Vt. where he also served as chairman of the Police Commission and as a member of the Fish and Game committee. Mike was also active in the Chittenden County Mobilization Against Drugs. He holds a masters degree in Education from UVM and has been published in the field. At the time if induction, Mike was a Superintendent of Schools in Saranac Lake, N.Y.
