Nicole Dunning is entering her 12th year as a member of the Norwich University athletic training staff. The 2019-20 academic year will mark her fifth as the Associate Athletic Trainer after serving as an assistant since 2008. Dunning works with five of Norwich's 20 varsity athletic teams (men's hockey, men's & women's soccer, men's tennis and softball).
Dunning has served as an adjunct professor and a clinical instructor in the Norwich University Athletic Training Education program. She currently serves as a deputy Title IX point of contact for the University.
She arrived in Northfield following a one-year stint at Sacred Heart University, where she worked with the Pioneers' women's ice hockey and women's lacrosse teams.
Dunning graduated from the University of Vermont in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. She earned her Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Project Management in the spring of 2015 from Norwich University.
During her time in Burlington, she interned with UVM (2004-06), St. Michael's College (2006) and Burlington High School (2007).
She has also volunteered at the Boston Marathon and Vermont City Marathon in the past.
She is married to her husband Derek. They live in Northfield with their golden retreiver Bruin and newborn baby Charlotte.
