NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University Athletic Department, in conjunction with the Maroon & Gold Athletic Association, hosted the 2010-11 Senior Athlete Recognition Dinner on Tuesday night at the Milano Ballroom on the campus of Norwich University.

The Norwich University Student Athletic Advisory Council has updated their team representatives for the 2010-11 academic year. Zach Blodgett, one of men’s soccer’s representatives, will lead the council as SAAC President. Megan Gingras, a member of the women’s soccer and basketball teams, has been named Vice President, and Chad Anderson, captain of the men’s ice hockey team, takes on the role as the Communications Coordinator.
The Maroon & Gold Athletic Association and the Norwich University Athletics Department recognized the NU senior athletes in a formal banquet Tuesday evening. The event was held in Milano Ballroom and all senior athletes and the athletics staff were invited.
The Norwich University athletic department hosted National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Saturday, April 17, and it was a great success. Twenty-eight girls from the community participated in events ranging from volleyball and basketball to swimming and floor hockey.
