NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich men's basketball team hosted the second annual Cadets' Classic 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10. This year, the tournament featured 19 teams spread over three divisions ranging from fourth grade to 12th grade. Each team played three exhibition games, before getting into the single-elimination tournament.

Between the exhibition games, three tournament participants and four Norwich players competed in a slam dunk contest! The eventual winner, Andrew Shuman, wowed the crowd with his high flying ability at the age of 13! Following Andrew at a close second was Jason Gray whose dunking résumé included slamming home an alley-oop off the glass.

The tournament crowned three champions.  The 4, 5, 6 division championship went to the Rutland Bandits as they defeated the Central Vermont Warriors. The 7, 8, 9 went to the Crimson Bobcats (one of last year's reigning champions) as they defeated the Chipoltas. The 10, 11, 12 division was won by Get Saucy as they topped Two and a Half Men.
