Men’s Hockey: Cotnoir named ECAC East Player of the Week

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Junior forward Pier-Olivier Cotnoir (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 22.

Cotnoir scored three goals and tallied two assists for five points to help lead the Cadets to a sweep of St. Michael's. He scored a goal and had two helpers in Friday night's 7-1 win at St. Michael's and then added two more goals in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Purple Knights at Kreitzberg Arena.

Overall on the season, Cotnoir ranks second on the team with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. He is now the seventh Norwich men's hockey player to earn an ECAC East weekly honor this season.

Norwich (14-1-1, 9-1-0 ECAC East) continues ECAC East play this weekend with a pair of games against Southern Maine and the University of New England on Friday and Saturday at Kreitzberg Arena.
