NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced on Monday night that sophomore forward Chris Duszynski (Okotoks, Alberta) of the Norwich University men’s ice hockey team was named the ECAC East Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 11.
Duszynski has now earned the honor two weeks in a row as he has been the catalyst on offense for the Cadets over their past three games with a team-leading six points over that stretch.
Duszynski scored one goal and added an assist to help top-ranked Norwich skate to a 4-4 tie with No. 7 Plattsburgh State on Friday. He scored the game-tying goal in the third period to help the Cadets rally from a two-goal deficit in the third period.
Norwich (8-0-1, 6-0-0 ECAC East) is off until the new year when the Cadets host their annual tournament, the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament at Kreitzberg Arena. NU will take on SUNY Morrisville on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m., while Fitchburg State meets Elmira in the early game at 4 p.m.
