NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich men's ice hockey team will host an NCAA Quarterfinal on Saturday, March 10 at Kreitzberg Arena at 7 p.m against the winner of Wednesday's Plymouth State/Wentworth play-in game.
Norwich (23-2-2) won its 10th ECAC East Tournament title with an 11-1 thrashing of Castleton State this past Saturday and will now make its 13th NCAA Tournament and 12th in the last 16 years, all coming under legendary head coach Mike McShane.
Ticket information for Saturday's game will be available Monday morning as soon as it is released to the Norwich University Athletic and Sports Information departments.
The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the 2012 NCAA Division III Frozen Four to be held at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The last time the finals were held in Lake Placid, Norwich defeated St. Norbert 3-2 in double overtime to claim its third national championship.
