NEHC WEEK 2 REPORT

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Junior Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) of the Norwich University men's ice hockey team was named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Goalie of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Aubrun was superb all weekend for the Cadets, stopping 45 of 47 shots to backstop Norwich to a weekend sweep of Skidmore and No. 5-ranked Hobart.

Aubrun made 20 saves in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over Skidmore, before coming up with 25 saves and nearly pitching a shutout vs. defending NEHC champion Hobart. Aubrun lost his shutout bid with 29 seconds left in the game with Hobart having an extra skater on the ice and a power play advantage.

Aubrun posted a .957 save percentage on the weekend and improved to 2-0-1 so far in his first season as the No. 1 starter for the Cadets.

Norwich (2-0-1, 2-0-0 NEHC) moved up to No. 10 in the latest d3hockey.com and eighth in the USCHO.com national rankings.

The Cadets travel to No. 14/RV UMass Boston and RV/RV Babson this Friday and Saturday for another crucial league weekend.
