NEHC WEEK 5 REPORT

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Freshman forward Brett Ouderkirk (Monkland, Ontario) and junior goalie Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) of the Norwich University men's ice hockey team each earned New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) weekly honors on Monday afternoon.

Ouderkirk was named the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut MVP after tallying three goals and three assists for six points to lead the Cadets to their record 10th PrimeLink ShootOut title.

Aubrun made a season-high 26 saves to help Norwich (4-2-1) upset No. 2-ranked Adrian College on Friday night in a 3-2 victory to earn Goalie of the Week honors.

Ouderkirk scored his first two collegiate goals and also had an assist on the game-winning goal to have a hand in all three goals Norwich scored vs. Adrian. He then added a goal and two more assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over Middlebury in the championship game.

Ouderkirk became the 10th player in Norwich history to earn PrimeLink ShootOut MVP honors.

Aubrun earned his second NEHC Goalie of the Week nod of the season.

Norwich re-entered the USCHO.com and d3hockey.com national rankings at the No. 13 spot this week.

The Cadets will host Johnson & Wales and Suffolk this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively as part of their annual men's hockey alumni weekend.
