Men's Hockey: Pilgrims edge Norwich, 2-1

TJ Dockery men's hockey action vs. Babson

HENNIKER, N.H. - The Norwich University men's ice hockey team fell 2-1 to New England College on Saturday afternoon in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at Lee Clement Arena.

Junior alternate captain TJ Dockery (Lockport, N.Y.) scored Norwich's only goal of the game at the 16:45 mark of the third period, but it was too little too late to mount the full comeback for the Cadets.

New England College (6-3-2, 4-3-2 NEHC) got goals from Connor Inger and Nikita Pintusov as they topped Norwich for the second straight year.

NEC outshot Norwich 50-30, as the Cadets gave up the most shots on goal they have given up in over a decade.

Junior Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) made 48 saves to shatter his previous single-game career high.

Norwich is off until Jan. 4 when it hosts the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament at Kreitzberg Arena. The Cadets will take on Neumann University at 7 p.m.
