NEHC WEEK 7 REPORT

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Junior Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) of the Norwich University men's ice hockey team earned his third New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Goalie of the Week award on Monday afternoon. 

Aubrun made 70 saves on 72 shots to post a .972 save percentage and backstop the Cadets to a 1-1 weekend. Aubrun stopped all 22 shots he faced in a 5-0 win over Southern Maine on Friday night to pick up his first shutout of the season. 

Aubrun then made 48 saves in a tough 2-1 loss to New England College on Saturday which set a new single-game career high for the Frenchman, as well as marked the most saves by a NU goaltender in a game in over 15 years. 

Aubrun is 4-3-1 on the season with a 2.22 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. He was named the NEHC Goalie of the Week in week two and five already this season. 

Norwich (6-4-1, 4-4-0 NEHC) is off until January 4th when it hosts the ninth annual Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament. The Cadets will take on Neumann University at 7 p.m. on Friday night, while Endicott meets Buffalo State at 4 p.m. in the first semifinal.
