MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Felix Brassard (St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec) of the Norwich University men's ice hockey team was named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. 

Brassard scored two goals and had three assists for a five-point week to lead the Cadets to three wins over Vermont intrastate rivals. 

Brassard scored Norwich's first goal in a come-from-behind victory over Middlebury on Tuesday. He then had an assist in Friday's 4-2 win over Castleton at home. He finished off the week with a huge three-point night with a goal and two assists to lead Norwich to another come-from-behind win with a 6-5 victory over Castleton to sweep the home and home series. 

Brassard finished as a +7 plus-minus rating on the week as well. 

Brassard took over the team points lead with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 20 games played. He is tied for the team lead in goals with two other players. 

Norwich moved up to No. 8 in the d3hockey.com national rankings and is now 10th in the USCHO.com poll as the Cadets are unbeaten in eight straight games. NU is 6-0-2 in its last eight games and will now have another three-game week starting with a road trip to Plattsburgh State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Cadets will then make their first-ever trip to Suffolk and Johnson & Wales for two more league matchups on Friday and Saturday.
