MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Freshman forward Maxime Borduas (St. Cesaire, Quebec) of the Norwich University men's ice hockey team earned his second New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Rookie of the Week award on Monday afternoon. 

Borduas tallied two goals and two assists for a four-point week to lead Norwich to two more key NEHC victories and extend the team's unbeaten streak to 14 straight games. 

He scored the game-winning goal with 6:24 left in the 3rd period of a huge matchup with New England College to snap the Pilgrims' 16-game unbeaten streak. 

Borduas added a goal and two assists in a 6-2 win over Southern Maine on Saturday to clinch the No. 2 seed in the NEHC playoffs. 

Borduas has now tallied a point in 11 of the Cadets' last 12 games with 17 points in that span. He has seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 22 games played. 

Norwich (18-5-2, 13-4-1 NEHC) moved up two spots to No. 5 in the latest d3hockey.com national rankings and three spots up to No. 5 in the USCHO rankings. 

Norwich earned the No. 2 seed for the NEHC Tournament and will host No. 7 seed Suffolk on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Kreitzberg Arena. The Cadets will be looking to win their 13th NEHC Tournament title.
