Men's Lacrosse: Norwich drops one to New England College, 7-5

HENNIKER, N.H. - The Norwich University men's lacrosse team dropped their first game of the 2019 season on Friday night, losing on the road to New England College by a 7-5 final score. 

Norwich struck first with a Cody Moore (Canton, N.Y.) goal just 2:05 into the action off an assist from Connor Bourque (Goffstown, N.H.). The Pilgrims responded in turn with four straight goals in under ten minutes to open up a 4-1 lead. The rest of the action was controlled by the defensive units, as the two teams combined for just seven more goals the rest of the way. NEC never let Norwich regain the lead, cruising to the 7-5 victory. 

Aidan Moulton (Danvers, Mass.) and Cody Moore each had two goals and an assist for three points days. Ian Kriger (Burlington, Mass.) played all 60:00 in goal, making 17 saves on the day. 

The loss evens the Cadets record at 1-1 this season. Norwich will return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they'll try to get their home opener in against Plymouth State at 4:00 PM down on Sabine Field.
